I’m Caoimhe Quinn, an award-winning documentary and commercial photographer based in the Northern Irish countryside.
I photograph people, animals, rural communities and working life, with a particular interest in the relationships that connect them. I’m drawn to honest moments, traditional skills, individual character and stories that reveal something meaningful about how people live and work.
Before becoming a photographer, I spent more than 15 years working in marketing and communications and seven years running businesses within the animal-care industry. That experience shaped the way I approach a story: I listen first, look beyond the obvious and consider what an audience needs to see, feel and understand.
My style is observational, emotive and quietly cinematic. I offer direction when it is needed, but I’m always looking for the unplanned expressions, gestures and details that make a story feel true.
Today, I work across editorial assignments, self-directed documentary projects and commercial commissions. Whether I’m following a rural craftsperson, photographing the connection between an animal and its owner, documenting a community event or revealing the people behind a business, my purpose remains the same - to create work that feels honest, relevant and worth remembering.
I was named Pet Photographer of the Year 2026 by the National Pet Awards in recognition of my work celebrating the human–animal bond.
I'm available throughout Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK, with selected international commissions welcomed.
